Lisa and Adam met a bit unconventionally - through Match.com. Adam had tried the dating service before and had very mixed results with it, choosing it as an option for companionship when he moved to Tampa and did not know many people (and not inclined to wade into the bar scene). Lisa was urged to try it by her future bridesmaid Nicole, who met her eventual husband on the site. Lisa did not have to commit to it for too long, as Adam happened to stumble upon Lisa's profile less than a week after she had completed it. What caught his eye? The headline - I Heart Nerds. After a brief email and phone discussion with each other, the two decided to meet up face to face at Jasmine Thai, on January 28th, 2006, a restaurant the two still visit on that memorable date every year. They continued to date after that, going from seeing each other on Fridays, to Fridays and Saturdays to eventually spending time together almost every day. Lisa found Adam's friends and family to be warm and welcoming, and Adam felt the same about hers. In April of 2007, Adam asked permission to marry Lisa from her parents at their river house and when that was granted, wasted no time in proposing later that same day! They agreed that the wedding would be best in summer, away from the pressures of school and work for Lisa and to give people an optimum time to attend. As the date grows closer, both Lisa and Adam look forward to seeing you there for their big day!
